CAJN

The Community Adult Justice Network of Ottawa

Celebrating our First Year

The Community Adult Justice Network of Ottawa (CAJN) is a strategic leadership group dedicated to building and enhancing coordination, partnerships, education and advocacy regarding adult justice issues in the Ottawa area.  We were created a year ago at the initiative of Crime Prevention Ottawa.  The group meets monthly, at the Hintonburg Community Centre, on the third Wednesday of the month, 9:15am-11am.

The Community Adult Justice Network of Ottawa’s goal is to develop community capacity regarding adult justice issues by:

  • Providing an open forum for discussion
  • Creating a collective voice to advocate for community safety and the rights and needs of adults in conflict or at risk of being in conflict with the law
  • Exploring and promoting interagency partnerships
  • Initiating and coordinating research, professional development and public education

If you would like more information about CAJN you can contact Cat Baron, Chair of the CAJN at baronc@algonquincollege.com or (613) 727-4723 ext. 2451.
