Karim Mekki

As an educator, mentor and community worker, Karim Mekki has spent more than a decade working with youth and students. He has mentored and taught literacy to newly-arrived refugees, taught English as a Second Language at the University of Ottawa, and served as a student support worker with the Pathways to Education program. At the heart of Karim’s work is a strong belief in community resilience, and a dedication to helping marginalized youth build and enhance social capital.

Karim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Second Language Teaching with a minor in Psychology, a Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Arts in Education.
