2020 Call for Nominations
Crime Prevention Ottawa Awards
The Crime Prevention Ottawa Awards are back for the 12th year running. Now’s your chance to nominate a person, group or program that is making Ottawa a safer city to live in.
Our previous winners and finalists represent all ages and walks of life, including volunteers and staff at various organizations. They include groups of dedicated individuals working to build community pride or address crime and safety issues in their neighbourhoods.
Given the unprecedented events of this year with COVID-19 and worldwide demonstrations for social justice, we welcome nominations that might also highlight a person, group or program’s involvement in initiatives that have served to build a better, safer, more inclusive city.

Awards ceremony and COVID-19
We are excited to see how nominees have pushed forward crime prevention initiatives in the context of physical distancing measures.
It’s too early to say how we’ll hold our awards ceremony – but we will celebrate one way or another! The awards ceremony will take place on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 5 to 7 pm and will comply with the latest Ottawa Public Health recommendations.
